Stepping back shows that what surrounds you is also what shapes you — the desert holding the city like the sky holds the stars. Proof that heaven and home are not so far apart. I am grateful for this ascension and trust in divine timing.
From the outlook on Mt. Lemmon, Tucson sprawls below like a galaxy scattered across the desert floor, each glimmer a heartbeat of the city I call home. A lone saguaro anchors the scene, its silhouette tall against a sky alive with marbled violets, blues, and rose-gold. Overhead, a gilded moon glows, watching as earth and sky mirror one another in luminous rhythm. It is the desert, yes, but it is also infinite, cosmic, eternal.
“Desert Euphoria” is my full-circle moment. The series began in the desert with ascension, stillness, and reclamation, and now it ends here, with a deeper love for the land that shaped me. What started as a season of healing transformed into a vision of wholeness: the desert not as a place to escape, but as a place to belong. This final piece closes the Necromancer Series, yet as number eight, it carries the symbol of infinity — reminding me that every ending is also a beginning.
This painting is for the soul learning to step back and see the bigger picture. To recognize that you are not separate from the light, but an essential part of it.
