Obsidian Tide

An elemental symphony forged in resin, stone, and light. Obsidian Tide captures the rhythm of the earth in motion. Across three sculpted canvases, rivers of sapphire and deep onyx flow in seamless harmony, converging like tectonic veins beneath the surface of creation. Embedded quartz catches the light like captured starlight, glinting through strata of oceanic blues and crystalline depths.

Every layer was poured, cured, and polished by hand , a process that demanded patience, precision, and surrender. The resin, alive in its fluidity, preserves each moment of its transformation; the quartz grounds it in permanence. Together, they create a living topography, one that shifts and shimmers with changing light, echoing the geologic pulse of time itself.

A testament to metamorphosis, Obsidian Tide stands as both sculpture and painting, a relic of balance between control and chaos, pressure and beauty. It belongs to the “Sovereign” tier of my work: singular creations that bridge earth and cosmos through labor, light, and intention.

Silver Lining in my life: There was a point in my life full of toxicity, we've all been there. Those moments mold us. You can feel completely consumed by the negativity and at times hopeless. So much was going on, however, I now know why I NEEDED those times in my life.
